Saved from the brink of euthanasia

We don't know if this is a Coton or Coton mix but there seems to be a Bichon type dog in this sweet little baby. Please watch this link and feel your heart swell and your tears begin to flow as you see someone give this sweet dog a 2nd chance at life. All she wanted was a hug and a new hair do.

Coton de Tulear on Animal Planet

Animal Planet's "Dogs 101" would like to feature the Coton de Tulear in an upcoming season and they need a unique "storyline" to include in their program. They're looking for a human interest story abou the breed that goes beyond the show dogs, therapy dogs or breeder stories. The "story" needs to be interesting and visually appealing. Please check out this link:
Please share this information with friends, post of Facebook or your Blog, Twitter or any other social network you belong to.
It would be great responsible exposure for our breed and a unique opportunity!
Thanks

Reponse from the HSUS

We received this letter from the HSUS after posting information about legislation about puppy mills in Arizona. We appreciate their response for our efforts!

Subject: Thank you from The HSUS puppy mills campaign

Dear Mr Hiskes,

I am writing to thank you for posting the update about the Petland lawsuit on your Blog last week, and especially to thank you for your support of our efforts to combat puppy mills and also for being a humane breeder!

The HSUS wholeheartedly supports responsible dog breeders, we publish several guides for the public to help them find and identify a good dog breeder, including our Puppy Buyer’s Guide and our Good Breeder Checklist. These are available for free on our website or by mail. You can see the Puppy Buyer’s Guide at http://www.humanesociety.org/issues/puppy_mills/tips/finding_good_dog_breeder.html%20and%20download%20our%20Good%20Breeder%20Checklist%20at%20http://www.humanesociety.org/assets/pdfs/pets/puppy_mills/how_find_good_dog_breeder.pdf
The more good breeders that start coming forward to say “I am against puppy mills,” and say it loudly and proudly, we have an even greater chance at helping the animals in the facilities providing substandard care!

If you would like to know more about our work with breeders, please do not hesitate to contact me. We would be delighted to stay in touch with you!

Sincerely,

Beau
